Leading through Uncertainty.
We all know at the moment – we’re working through uncharted waters and it’s really, really important to try and stay ahead of the game and lead your team. Here are my top three tips for being a good leader during the current COVID climate.
- Be heavily involved in the planning process with your team.
Remember, you’re the one who’s going to have to drive the plans that you put ahead. And so it’s really important that you know exactly what everyone is doing, and know the deadlines and can actually get behind it.
- Have strong communication with your stakeholders
Everyone needs to know exactly what you’re doing. They need to know that you’re prepared. Keep in contact with your advisors, investors and suppliers. Some of your suppliers may have plans that working with yours which could create mutually beneficial opportunities.
- Be flexible
With things changing by the day in terms of legislations or public health orders – It’s really, really important to allow enough time and a larger margin for error in your planning so that you can adapt to the changing environment.
