Happy New Year!
Hopefully you’ve had a great break with your family and friends. Now it’s time to get down to business and to start actioning your News Resolutions. Here are some helpful tips to kickstart your 2022.
Reflect and Re-strategize
If you haven’t got any new year’s resolutions set up or established yet, now’s the time to get your team together and start planning. The best way I find to do that is to go back through my journal throughout the course of the year and find and summarize my successes and failures. When I look at my failures, I want to see why a particular project has failed. And then re-strategize and come back stronger. If you don’t have a journal, or you don’t have any diary notes, just quite simply go back through your calendar, or go back through your emails and just to 12 monthly small plans and extract the data from those.
Plan Ahead
The next thing I do is get all the time together, and sit down and start Okay, guys, let’s look at what we’ve done. Let’s look at what’s happening this year. And let’s plan ahead. Our 90 Day plans are very crucial. We then go from our 90 day plan back to a monthly plan. And then I actually have a weekly dashboard. My weekly dashboard actually analyzes this year compared to last year. So I find that crucial. But at the moment, I think one of the most important things you can do with your planning is actually give yourself enough time for interruptions because there’s going to be loads. It’s a brave new world. Everything is changing week by week at the moment with legislative changes, the COVID so please give yourself time to adjust. And really, really importantly, flexibility. Give yourself flexibility to make changes very quickly. Be forgiving of yourself.
