Top 3 tips for writing your first book!

The latest news is I’ve written my first book! It’s called FIND BUILD SELL is being published by Wiley.

This book is basically about how I turned a $100 Backyard Bar into $100million Pub Empire. The book tells a lot of stories about my life and gives a lot of tips about how for you to basically find, build and sell yourself to improve your career and life.

Through reading my book, you’ll learn how to:

  • turn your passion into profit and assess the right business opportunities for you
  • rebrand (on a budget) to exponentially increase the value of a business
  • develop a bullet-proof team culture that creates loyalty for life
  • negotiate the best price when buying or selling a business
  • pitch to investors using language they understand and value.

I wanted to share some wisdom I learned through writing my first book and hope that it contributes to your future success if you wish to go down this path. Here are my 3 tips if you are going to take the challenge of writing a book:

  1. Time

Allow yourself a significant amount of time and have realistic expectations for how long this will take you to produce. (It’s going to take you a lot longer than you think!) By the time I had wrote, edited and executed this book, Find Build Sell took me 18 months to produce.

  1. Discipline

Once you decide to write the book, set yourself allocated time to get it done. (And stick to that time!) Even if you’re only writing 100 pages a day, you want to ensure that you create a routine that will ensure you keep yourself accountable!

  1. Editor

Finally – get yourself an editor or a copywriter to help you proofread your book! I am so grateful for the work of my editor and know that her guidance has truly shaped the success of the production of this book

Good luck on your journey!
